Fasting from Certainty, Making Room for Mystery

In this week's story from John 3:1-17, Nicodemus comes to Jesus in the night, but instead of asking a question or asking for help, Nicodemus comes to tell Jesus what he knows. Do we do the same thing? Do we come to God telling God what we know, rather than asking God to help us live into the unknown?
