About St. Luke's
Founded in 1860 in Jeffersonville, IN, we are a congregation of the United Church of Christ committed to living out the message that no matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you're welcome here.
About Me
I have been pastor of St. Luke's UCC since November 2005. Prior to that, I served at Old South Church in Boston, MA and attended seminary at Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA. In my sermons, I try to see familiar stories in new ways and to see new stories in ways that make them familiar to our lives. I am passionate about sharing the good news of God's love every week, and thinking critically about how we are called to practice love, justice and peace in response.

Called to the Promise -- January 9, 2011

Each one of us is challenged to be God's promise to the world—a light to the nations, a covenant to the people. It is a challenging call—until you remember that everything is resting on the promises of God. It's the Christian circle of life. Scripture: Isaiah 42:1-9
