Derby Welcome -- May 2, 2010

Here in Kentuckiana, the Kentucky Derby dominates life for weeks on end—especially this first weekend in May. In the spirit of the season, I have begun a tradition of writing a special welcome for the Sunday morning after Derby day incorporating the names of as many Derby horses as possible. This year, I managed to include all twenty. We also had a special treat—harmonica player Gary Steedly opened with "My Old Kentucky Home."
