Welcome to my sermon blog! Each week, I'll post a brief video preview of the week's sermon and services at St. Luke's. Then the sermon will be available by podcast sometime after Sunday. Comments and
discussion on the sermons are always welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
About St. Luke's
Founded in 1860 in Jeffersonville, IN, we are a congregation of the United Church of Christ committed to living out the message that no matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you're
welcome here.
About Me
I have been pastor of St. Luke's UCC since November 2005. Prior to that, I served at Old South Church in Boston, MA and attended seminary at Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA. In my sermons,
I try to see familiar stories in new ways and to see new stories in ways that make them familiar to our lives. I am passionate about sharing the good news of God's love every week, and thinking
critically about how we are called to practice love, justice and peace in response.

The Roots of Christian Life: Sharing -- March 29, 2009
This
continues
the
sermon series on The Roots of Christian Life, the five
essential practice of a Christian. This week we focus on sharing—how Christians live together in community, sharing the good news of Christ with their neighbors, and sharing their resources with one another. We look at the model of the early church, where everyone shared possessions and shared the gospel freely. Scripture: Acts 4:31-35
